Candle-lite Essential Elements Candles

I pick these up at the local CVS for use in the gallery where I work, (you can find them on sale now - and on Amazon) the scents are created from essential oils in a soy base, good for the enviroment, and not too strong, so I don't have to worry about customers who walk in and are sensitive to perfumes. Right now my fave is Lavender and Cedarwood and Eucalyptus and Cucumber. They burn evenly and last for a long time. They also work well with candle warmers, if you've got pets!

I used to make candles all the time, and I am now regretting that all the candle making gear got donated when my parents sold their house. I'm in the mood to be creative again and making candles is much easier than making soap :) I've been looking at some Canadian craft supply sites. I like your recommendation - soy is always the base of choice for me, and I love mixing essential oils - what great combinations they have!

I enjoy the essential oils better than 'created' scents, which can sometimes be more 'perfumey' if that makes sense. I've wanted to make candles and my own essential oil scents, but my allergies kind of interfere with that!
