So, I read this bit from a publicity blurb about a series of books that feature New Age monsters (rather than you cliche'd vampires, werewolves, etc. - their words not mine - but in this book you have some good ol skinwalkers and tricksters aka Supernatural)

‘New Adult’ (a crossover between Young Adult and Adult)

srsly? New Adult? how about just y'know 'Adult Fiction'??? or maybe just crap.
