No, the Twilight books didn't feature any sex (apparantly) until the last book, but someone wrote a BDSM Twilight AU, and then filed the names off, so by the time 50Shades was published, it had no resemblance to her books or characters, (no vampires or werewolves!)

I don't see a problem with 50Shades making someone millions, it's not plagarism, I mean, both Twilight and 50Shades is crap, and there are much better fanfic writers out there but sometimes it's all about what the claw picks, there's no rhyme or reason to what gets popular (cos then you know our fave show would be the most watched on tv)
