imho, name change not an improvement, other than the luscious Lucian Laviscount in the lead role of Ennis and Stephen Martines as his buddy cop, all the casting of the leads are Caucasian 20 somethings.

I'm sorry, but they could move this show to HBO and call it "Supernatural: Full Frontal," and unless the Winchesters are making a cameo, I don't think I'll be tuning in.

It wasn't the vampires and werewolves that got me hooked on this show. It was the relationship between the brothers, the strife between them and their father, the mystery of what happened to their mother. It was the Winchesters, and without them it's just another sci-fi show. If they don't have some unbelievably captivating original twist (think Firefly, Buffy, X-Files), it's just ... meh, at least to me.

I know I'm jumping to conclusions without even seeing the pilot, and I could be wrong. But they're trying to drum up the kind of excitement that SPN sparked, and I'm just not feeling it yet.

it's funny how the spn concept is so simple, it pulls you in, two bros in a metallicar hunting demons, looking for their dad. Spn Bloodlines almost has too many plots from the beginnng

Sam and Dean meet Ennis a cop and reveal the supernatural to him

Chicago has five monster mafia groups

The shapeshifter family has a guy ala Sam who had to be 'pulled back' from normal life

the werewolf family has a gal who's in forbidden love with the guy from the shapeshifer family

the cops best friend and partner is a monster or involved with them

see, any one of those ideas could be a show, and none of them are compelling me.
