The best way to good looking skin and hair

Hair, once it grows outside the scalp, is dead, no matter what conditioners or treatments you use, it’s not going to improve your hair as much as taking care of the inside of you, watching what you put in your body, including minerals and water.

The same goes for the skin, putting on creams and lotions don’t do much more than create a barrier to help keep water in. You don’t hydrate the skin with a cream, you keep it from evaporating! You’ll save money and look/feel better with a better diet as well as using a sunscreen and avoiding pollution (smoke, dust, pollen) where possible.

I keep telling people this but they still spend fortunes on expensive anti-aging creams...

yeah, I wouldn't have known any of this, but I worked at The Body Shop and did some intensive product training and the result was, hey you could make most of this stuff in your kitchen, that's what Anita did. Alas, they sold the company to L'Oreal and discontinued Japanese Musk perfume oil.

Yes exactly! I always rememebr seeing a woman on some chat show talking about how to look after your skin from kitchen ingredients and her tip was using a tiny bit of olive oil around the delicate skin of the eye to keep it moisturised and supple. Cheap as chips!

AAAAAAAAAAAAMMMEEN!

Floris soap and vosene have done me well since I was a child and everyone asks me how my skin is so soft and my hair so shiny. No smoking or sunbathing I think went a long way to helping out there too. So much bullroar psuedoscience peddled in the beauty industry ne?

I knew the part about the skin, but the part about the hair was news to me.

I have paid the most ridiculous prices for hair conditioners over the years, thinking it would make a difference in health. I don't think I will be anymore, and I must say it's a damned relief. I won't ignore my hair, but I think I'm done believing it thrives based on the amount of money I spend.
