blergh, reads as a Xena Clone, and why brown? (not that an African American or Latina Diana wouldn't kick ass, or you know Pacific Islands American being from you know, Paradise Island)
if Cap can pull off the full on spangly, so can Diana.
I think it's in keeping with the way DC is treating the rest of its characters. I've never seen Superman in such a dark shade of blue before Man of Steel, they've managed to make Batman even more monochromatic than ever, and even the new CW show about the Flash has him in a darker shade of red than he's ever worn in the comics and cartoons. I'm not surprised they turned that same darker paintbrush onto Wonder Woman.
Besides, this character has gone through countless costume changes over the years - it seems every artist on the planet has a slightly different take on how her clothes should look - so to see yet another version just makes me shrug my shoulders.
I do wish she finally had some over-the-shoulder support, though.
I'm not a fan of DC movies, particularly if they want to make heroes 'dark, edgy and morally suspect' and Diana's costume actually stayed pretty true to form for decades, the last Wonder Woman costume for a tv show got blasted too (but it wasn't great either) give me Lynda Carter any day.
It annoys me when they dress up women in such impractical outfits. I mean, who the hell fights in high heel boots? Her feet must kill her at the end of the day. And that dress or whatever it is: one good twisting turn and the boob will be out and flopping all over the place. Or maybe that's the idea? Hit with a surprise WMD! At least the men are in outfits that you just might be able to fight in.
Lynda Carter had high heels, and Black Widow has high wedge heels, but the armor on the boots is pretty useless, I think what bugs me the most, the brown color and the skirt, it's not even in a roman style because of the strange cut, Xena wore it better.
