a site called Ebooks tree is skimming off fics from AO3 and hosting them on their site, they make revenue by ad-clicks and as an author, if you want to read comments on your work you have to pay a fee, lots of my friends are finding their fic there, as a fic author, you have copyright (except where you quote other sources) and you can request for the files to be taken down.

HA! just found a ton of my stuff there

here is a link on how to make the complaint:

Thanks for the heads up, sweetie. I just sent them a note asking for them to remove my artwork and the stories they've taken.

I just found a whole page of my artwork too!

just so you know, you must head the complaint as 'DMCA Complaint' or they won't answer it.

I did. I made a post in my journal with the body of the note, too, so I'd have a copy of what I sent them for my records, too.

I'm always surprised that anyone even knows I exist, much less to go to the trouble to steal what I've made over the years.

yeah, well, they just ripped everything off the Ao3 site, and while they only took the art (which is low-rez web only versions with watermarks) it still pisses me off, cos this is a for profit site.
