Warner Bros. is aware of fan discontent with BvS’ moody tone: the fanboy blogs lit up like pinball machines two days ago with buzz of reshoots on Suicide Squad (due out on August 5): Apparently the studio is lightening the mood for a more fun Suicide. BvS has a big drop of -69% it's second weekend out, with no competition from new releases. The word strong is an understatement when talking about the fifth weekend hold for Disney’s Zootopia which is at amazing -14% for a projected FSS of $20.7M. Domestic by Sunday will be at $276.6M. Still in the top 10, Deadpool.

yeah I get you on Marvel having good movies and crap comics, and DC having the opposite, but growing up DC had the good movies and we didnt' have any Marvel at all!

I don't get why they'd do reshoots on SS either! It's a different script, director, everything! It seems like a case of micromanagement, doing things by committee, and that's not good!

I didn't hear of civil war getting tweaked, but you know, it's not uncommon after previews, I will have to check on opening date again. *so far everything says it's still wide release May6 for the US, you guys get 29th April.

ohh, dinner for two! I hope you get to pick the venue and it's one you like.

Marvel always does reshoots in Jan for any movies that are being released in May. All of the MCU movies have had what they call reshoots. Winter Soldier had reshoots to add the hospital scene with Cap and Sam. This is a completely normal process for big movies. And NO Civil War is NOT delayed. It is coming out May 6. The reshoots for CW are done. Chris Evans has a beard again - if anything that shows you that the scenes are finished! LOL!!

Of course it's not delayed, it's only an April Fool's joke!

Well you posted on April 3rd - so I made the conclusion that you actually thought it was true

No, apologies if I was misleading. I thought it would be clear by linking to the site that it was a prank and the "Interesting ne?" sarcastic comment.

Karadin knows I'm an annoyance, she expects this kind of thing from me.

you aren't an annoyance! I saw an article today that said Zach Synder was dropped from doing future Justice League films, and then only noticed later that was an April Fools joke!

Yep so true, Marvel didn't really do anything until the X-Men movies which I incidentally love on very hard.

I do find it cute how super light and fun some of the DC TV shows are though, except Gotham (holy sheds, people whine about how dark BvS is and think Gotham is ok? WTF!)

The reshoots on SS have been given several reasons from the official Studio feed, apparently the second trailer with Bohemian Rhapsody (which looks pretty damn excellent and fun) did not match up with what people expected at the screening and some bits which were dropped from the movie as pre-shown have been put back in, but need some reshooting as well. Plus the BvS links are being put in at the same time, just because. Oh well.

Quotes from Feige's press release are in this - http://moviepilot.com/posts/3846466. Interesting ne? I'm kind of looking forward to seeing Black Widow's character evolving because in the last few films I've hated her characterisation with the energy of 1000 burning suns.

Pick a venue? Oh no, we live in a small town with a little 100 year old cinema which is part of a small independent chain with a restaurant upstairs - they run a monthly competition for holders of loyalty cards (some jerks like me can't stay away from the place!), I just happened to have the lucky number for the month!. Couldn't dream of going anywhere else to watch movies. ^___^

my fave Black Widow is the first Avengers film and Cap 2 The Winter Soldier, I have no idea what she was supposed to be doing in Avengers 2, I kept waiting for her to spring some plot or other so the storyline made sense!

I remember that, too. For the longest time DC produced all the great stuff for both the big and small screens, and now Marvel has finally come into its own. As someone who's also enjoyed both, I really wish Team DC and Team Marvel would both calm the hell down. We all want entertaining superhero fare, can't we just be happy when we get it? *sigh*

I think the studios love the 'rivalry' because it gets fans excited and gets attention for the films - for both DC and Marvel - the only thing they would really mind is apathy.
