Benedict Cumberbatch appears on Jonathan Ross tonight, fandom seems to be freaking out that certain fanarts, blogs, etc, are featured on the show. And naturally some people are upset that the more racy and or absurd things are highlighted, (that's entertainment, they aren't going to show respectful, thoughtful commentary, that's BORING) But, certainly no one thinks that one blog, or one fanart is all of fandom.
TODAY DRAWING DRAWING DRAWING I will get the figures done and start colouring! GANBATTE
And then after this project squeeze in one more Hustlin Holmes and then maybe a New Years Card (for the holidays) and then omg, original project.

See, is what has been so frustrating the last week, knowing I had only about one solid days work to put into pictures to complete the pencils, but being depressed and rl woes and toothache kept me from work. But now the fun (or the awful) part begins, putting on the colour and the background.
I have to give a big thanks to frodobaggins252 for helping me with the flower symbolism, not only did it have to fit in the Victorian Language of Flowers, but had to be native to England and appropriate to the season for each character, and each have a different colour! EEEEEeeee, harder than it looks.
Fingers crossed, I might have this done by Sept, 15 as planned. (don't jinx myself)
Of all four drawings, I'm most proud of Sherlock's hand. ;D

The Sherlock Holmes Rose.

"What a lovely thing a rose is! [...] Our highest assurance of the goodness of Providence seems to me to rest in the flowers. All other things, our powers our desires, our food, are all really necessary for our existence in the first instance. But this rose is an extra. Its smell and its colour are an embellishment of life, not a condition of it. It is only goodness which gives extras, and so I say again that we have much to hope from the flowers."

available at Harkness (who developed this variety as St. Richard of Chichester)
