The Sherlock Holmes Rose.

In canon Irene is American from New Jersey, an opera singer, and I thought you know, Queen Latifah is American, a real Jersey girl, she can act (Golden Globe, Screen Actor's Guild, Academy Award nom) and sing, (Grammy Award winner) she's mature, she's witty and edgy and smart and curvey and sexy and GOD WOULD SHE AND BENEDICT MAKE A FANTASTIC ONSCREEN COUPLE!

Of course, she could pull off genius.

( Read more... ) that's nothing against the actress they chose, I'm sure she'll be fine, maybe they are going with Irene-as-female-Sherlock in all respects, etc - that doesn't stop me from writing the Queen in, and yes they flirt, but we know Sherlock is married to his work, and er, his partner in that work, (coughJohncough)
