I know this is BAD, but I can't help feeling a little spark of glee that I never had a facebook and will continue to refuse getting one no matter the pleas of my friends.

Yep, I suppose if you don't support you should opt out, I hardly use mine no real name or info or anything.

Jesus Christ. Time to disable the good ol' facebook account, I think. I haven't even visited in months, and it seems every time I read about it, some new privacy-invading option is added. ARGH.

Yup, I have one but barely use it, and it doesn't have my real name or any of my info.

thanks -- done and done.

so depressing -- first Goldman Sachs makes FB its sock puppet, then Obama appoints Daley Chief of Staff. i wish i drank.

but, i do use FB to stay in touch with far-flung friends and relatives. i do not use my real name, and keep info to a minimum. i treat it like a very public space, a directory. nothing much gets posted there.

thx for the alert

Thank you, Karadin; it was enabled on mine, and I thought mine was locked down tighter than Fort Knox!

Not currently available in Canada, but I am glad I checked! They tend to roll in out in the USA a few months before others countries due to the variety of international privacy laws - or so explained my lawyer friend to me :) But it makes me glad that I have my FB locked down as tight as it can go in Canada, and never use it anyway!
